I chose HIV as my project, because I have always been interested in HIV & how it affects many peoples life & also how many babies are affected & could be getting affected by this virus. I got interested with this topic the sooner I started learning about the study of fossils of animals & humans & their ancestors. This studies take to the point where HIV was discovered along with the investigation of Charles Robert Darwin a naturalist. Since the time when Darwin find out about Natural Selection the scientist started to study animals & humans as well. HIV has been one of the most devastating disease humankind has ever faced, This virus has been around for two decades since the begging in 1980's more than 60 million people has been infected with HIV. The first cases were reported in the U.S. in June of 1981, starting with Patient Zero, a gay flight attendant from Canada who became the first known AIDS case in USA. A antibiotic has not been discovered for the virus, for now scientist are still studying the virus, but this virus is strong enough to develop by itself & be strong enough to avoid the drugs. HIV since 1981 has been one of many major problem all around the world, many people has been getting infected because of blood transfusions and organ transplants, injection drug use, from ab infected mother to her infant, but the most common one is unprotected sexual contact.
